🥜Notes / Substitutions
- Any kinds of bread will work in this recipe. ( whole wheat, white, rye etc.) Bonus if you are using bread that is slightly stale as they will soak up the wet ingredients better.
- To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free bread and certified gluten-free oats.
- Peanut butter can be substituted with other kinds of nut or seed butters. Almond butter, cashew butter and pumpkin seed butter are some that goes well with this recipe.
- Make sure to use banana that is ripe and spotty.
🔪How to make
Preheat oven to 150c / 300f. Cut your bread into bite sized cubes.
Start by mashing the banana until smooth. A few chunks here and there is generally ok.
Then, stir in the peanut butter.
Mix in the rolled oats and bread cubes. Mix until the bread is well coated.
Transfer the mixture into 2 cups / mug / ramekin. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and crispy.
Drizzle it with some maple syrup, then serve and enjoy !

- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- ¼ cup rolled / quick oats ( use gluten-free if needed )
