This frozen vegetable fried rice is the perfect easy weeknight dinner! It requires minimal prepping and is ready in 15 minutes. A budget-friendly recipe that is delicious and highly customizable.
Heat up a tablespoon of oil over medium heat in a large non-stick pan or wok. Add onion, and saute until translucent, about 2-3 minutes
1 medium yellow onion
Stir in garlic and fry for a minute.
3 cloves garlic
Add frozen vegetables to the pan, and dial the heat up to a high. Saute for a couple of minutes or until vegetables are thawed and all the excess liquid has evaporated.
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
Stir in rice and all the seasonings. Fry for a few minutes until the ingredients are hot.
3 cups cooked rice, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ½ tablespoon sesame oil, 2 teaspoon oyster sauce, salt
Remove from heat, then stir in chopped green onion. Your fried rice is ready to be served.

*Rice -Both medium-grain white or brown rice can be used in this recipe. I am using Jasmine rice. Although day-old rice works, you can use freshly cooked rice that has cooled completely. Simply spread the rice onto a large plate and cool it under the fan.Helpful tips
