For a simple yet crowd-pleasing side dish, you must make these air fryer oyster mushrooms! Irresistibly crispy on the outside with juicy insides, they are the perfect umami-packed dish that goes well with any main.
Prepare mushrooms by wiping off dirt and debris with a damp kitchen towel and separating them into individual pieces.
In a shallow bowl, mix together all wet ingredients. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine all ingredients needed for the coating.
Dip a piece of oyster mushroom in the milk mixture, shaking off excess. Then, coat it in the flour mixture and shake off extra. Repeat for the remaining mushrooms.
Lightly coat mushrooms with oil on both sides using a cooking spray, and place them in a single layer without overlapping (you might need to cook them in batches).
Bake them at 180C/350F for 8-12 minutes, flipping and spraying on more oil halfway through.
Serve them with dipping sauce of choice, and enjoy!

Helpful tips
Generously coat in oil – Ensure the mushrooms are well-coated so they brown evenly.
Adjust cooking time – Check around the 8-minute mark, cooking it for longer if needed.
Best served immediately – Air-fried oyster mushrooms taste best when freshly cooked and might turn soft after some time.
Reheating leftovers – The best way to reheat is to pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain their crispiness.
