This thick and creamy tofu mayonnaise is a must-have condiment in your pantry! It is effortless to make and is ready in 5 minutes. This recipe is versatile and is great as a spread, dipping sauce, or dressing.
2-3teaspoonslemon juice or white/apple cider vinegar
1teaspoonmaple syrup or other liquid sweeteners
1teaspoondijon mustard
salt to taste
¼teaspoongarlic powderoptional
Instructions
Remove silken tofu from its container, and gently pat off excess water using a kitchen towel or napkin.
Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. You could also use an immersion blender.
Give it a taste, adding more seasonings, if needed. Your silken tofu mayo is ready to be served.
Notes
*Silken tofu - I recommend going with firm silken tofu, if possible. Other kinds of silken tofu will work as well, but the mayo might be slightly runnier. Helpful tips
For a richer-tasting mayo - You can add 2-3 tablespoons of neutral-tasting oil to enhance the richness of this mayo.
Adjust taste to preference - Give mayo a taste right after blending, adding more seasonings if needed.
Mayo will thicken as it sits - It is normal for mayo to be slightly runnier right after blending! It will thicken up after chilling for a couple of hours in the fridge.
Storing - Store mayo in a clean glass jar with a lid. It can be refrigerated for 5-7 days.
