Chickpea in tomato sauce

This recipe is:

-  7 ingredients  - ready in 30 minutes - stores well and freezable - can be served on pasta or on toast

Ingredients needed

- Chickpeas             - Black pepper - Onion                     - Garlic - Tomato sauce       - Maple syrup - Diced tomato

Step 1

Heat up a cast-iron skillet and start by sauteing onion until translucent.

Step 2

Then, add garlic and fry for a minute. 

Step 3

Add diced tomato and tomato sauce. Bring it to a simmer, then add chickpeas. 

Step 4

Turn off the heat, then stir in maple syrup. Your chickpea in tomato sauce is ready to be served.
